Opener’s Rebids

When you decide what your opening bid is going to be, it is also important to decide what your rebid will be. Your rebid can show points (high, medium or minimum, it can show distribution. Rebids can also be forcing or non-forcing on their partners.

Rebids that show Minimum Opening Hands (13-15 points)

2. You open the bidding 1 No Trump, partner responds 2 Spades, what do you rebid holding these cards?

4. You open the bidding 1 Diamond, partner responds 1 Heart, what do you rebid holding these cards?

Rebids for Medium Strength Hands(16-18 points)

5.You open the bidding 1 Club – partner responds 1 Heart, what do you rebid holding these cards?
  1 No Trump (1NT)  2 Clubs (2C)  2 Hearts (2H)  3 Hearts (3H)  3 No Trumps (3NT)

6. You open the bidding 1 Club – partner responds 1 Spade, what do you rebid holding these cards?

Rebids for Strong Hands (19-21 points)
