Your Plan

Spades and clubs are the danger suits in this hand. Duck in the spade suit, and try to develop entries in your hand so that you can lead low to the diamonds on the table. Remember to play the honor from the short hand first with you heart suit while you are in hand.

The Play

Duck the spade lead, on the second round of spades discard the KS in dummy to give making the JS a precious entry to your hand. Win the third round of spades lead out the KH and QH, then lead a low diamond from hand hoping east has the AD. Discard a heart (even though its a winning trick) on the diamond return. you need to guard your KC - if you discard a club from dummy the other side will win two tricks in clubs and you will lose control.

NOTE: The above commentary is intended as a guideline only. As with any Bridge hand there are many ways to bid and play any hand. Beginners should also make extensive use of the 'Hint' button. The hints are computer generated and quite conservative, but are often useful if you are looking for a good suggestion.
