Your Plan

Dummy goes down count your losers. None in any of the suits as long as you play the honors from the short suits first.

The Play

Win with the QH (short suit) then win with JD and 10D followed by QD and KD drawing all the trumps (a 4-2 split) Win with the QS, AH and KH, AC and KC and all the rest are yours for 13 tricks.

Comment

If win the honor cards in the long hand first you will only make 11 tricks, if you win all the honors in the short hand before cashing those in the long hand you will make 13 tricks, try it both ways!

NOTE: The above commentary is intended as a guideline only. As with any Bridge hand there are many ways to bid and play any hand. Beginners should also make extensive use of the 'Hint' button. The hints are computer generated and quite conservative, but are often useful if you are looking for a good suggestion.
