Your Plan

Dummy goes down and you can count only 8 winning tricks. you will need to develop a 9th trick to make your contract. Your best plan is to play your 4-3 fit suits of which diamonds is the strongest watching and counting oppositions discards, to know when you have the highest card left in a suit. The trick is not to lose control of the club side suit if you can.

The Play

Play low on the club lead win in hand and play the diamonds . Switch to hearts and keep leading from a low card up to your honor and quickly you will notice the heart suit drops its QH and JH on the first 2 rounds of playing after playing them and discarding a spade in dummy the opposition discard spades and the small spades in your hand are high.

You will need to make at least 9 tricks to make this contract.
If you play your high cards by leading low toward yous honors you will discover that hearts drop quickly and so your 9H and 10H are promoted. So you can make 12 tricks in this game with good play.

NOTE: The above commentary is intended as a guideline only. As with any Bridge hand there are many ways to bid and play any hand. Beginners should also make extensive use of the 'Hint' button. The hints are computer generated and quite conservative, but are often useful if you are looking for a good suggestion.
