This decision is essentially the same as when you are responding to your partner's opening 1NT. Responder simply calculates the total point count and decides…- 25 HCP for NoTrumps:
- 26 TP for game in a Major Suit : 4♠ or 4♥
- 27 TP for game in a Minor Suit : 5♣ or 5♦
- whether to play the hand in a part game suit contract
- whether to play the hand in a part game notrumps contract
whether or not to bid to the game level or stay in part-game
