Open 1C your longest minor suit and after partners spade reply and the interference from the opposition bid 3D - partner shows preference for your club suit. The two singletons are worth 3 point extra each so your hand is 15 HCP + 6 DP so you can bid 5C with partner's only holding 6 points
Acol Bidding
Open 1C your longest minor suit and after partners spade reply and the interference from the opposition bid 4D and partner returns you to your club suit. The two singletons are worth 3 point extra each so your hand is 15 HCP + 6 DP so you can bid 5C even if partner only holds 6 points
Plan Before You Play
Partner actually has more than you expected so this contract should be fine. Count your losers None in spades and hearts 1 in diamonds and maybe 1 in clubs.
The Play
Win the heart lead and draw trumps - whew! the QC drops but opponents JC wins.. win the heart return and lead a low diamond until the AD is played. Play the AS and ruff the next spade, the rest of the tricks are yours.
Comment
You can make 5C for 400 points or you can let the opponents bid 3H and double them for penalties 3 light for 500 points.
The above commentary is intended as a guideline only. As with any Bridge hand there are many ways to bid and play any hand.
