The Play
Standard American: Win lead with JC, draw 3 rounds of trumps, play QC on AC and ruff the 10C, lead a low spade which east wins with KS, lose 2 diamond tricks, win the last 3 spade tricks and ruff the last diamond. Gives 10 tricks.
Acol: Lose the first 3 diamond tricks and win the club return with JC play 4 heart tricks, lead out 10C and play QC, a low spade up to QS which east wins and returns another club, QS and AS are high, gives you 9 tricks
