Win as many tricks as possible. Opposition get a huge score if they make their contract doubled. You need to win at least 5 tricks to take them light.

The Play

Partner leads 7H ruff this and return QS (top of a near sequence). Partner wins and returns another heart which you also ruff. Return JS and a low spade. Follow suit discarding spades on the diamonds until declarer leads his KC which you cover with your AC. The rest of the tricks are declarers.

Comment

If you make a penalty double of the 3D contract you can make 100 points.

The above commentary is intended as a guideline only. As with any Bridge hand there are many ways to bid and play any hand.
