Plan Before You Play
Count your losing tricks. Spades=1; Hearts=1; Diamonds =0; Clubs=0. . With with a nine card suit fit play for 'the drop' meaning lead out your highest card usually the Ace hoping the outstanding honor is a singleton and must be played. Then lose to the AS all other cards are winners.
The Play
Win the club lead, lead a low trump to the AH, two more rounds of trumps, a low club to the AC, play the KC ruff a low club, lead a low spade from dummy to KS, ruff the club return and the rest of your cards are winners.
Comment
This is an easy game to make 12 tricks even though you don't have enough points to bid slam. The key play is 'playing for the drop' in the heart suit (playing the Ace in the first round hoping the King is a singleton), otherwise you make 11 tricks.
The above commentary is intended as a guideline only. As with any Bridge hand there are many ways to bid and play any hand.
