Bidding

Partner opens 1H, you bid 1S, partner rebids 2C you rebid your strong suit 2S. Partner raises to 3S and you go to 4S. All Pass

Acol Bidding

Partner opens 1H, you bid 1S, partner rebids 2C you rebid your strong suit 2S. Partner raises to 3S and you go to 4S. All Pass

Plan Before You Play

Dummy goes down and in a suit contract count your losing tricks. Spades:2 , Hearts:1 , Diamonds:1 , Clubs: 1. You need to develop 2 more winning tricks to make this contract.

The Play

Lose the diamond lead but win the club return. Finesse the JS and win the club return. Finesse the QS lead 3S in easts hand, cover if it is played. Directly finesse west for the KH by leading out the QH. ruff a club. Enter dummy with the 9H ruff a second club

You can make 11 tricks by playing you winning hearts and retaining entries to dummy.
