Plan Before You Play
In 2NT: Dummy goes down count your winners. Spades:1, Hearts:1; Diamonds:1, Clubs: 0. You need to develop 5 more winners to make your contract. Clubs should give you 2 maybe spades can give you 2 and diamonds maybe 1. Your spades are longer (with 7 of them) but your diamonds are stronger with only 2 honors out. try the diamonds first.
In 2S: Dummy goes down count your losers. Spades: 2, Hearts:1; Diamonds:2, Clubs: 1. You should make this contract.
The Play
In 2NT play your diamonds when ever possible.
In 2S draw trumps, play your diamonds using your hearts and clubs which the opposition give you back to regain control.
