Plan Before You Play

Dummys hand goes down and in NoTrumps count your winners. 1 in spades 2 in hearts, 2 in diamonds and 2 in clubs. At the moment you are 1 trick light. Plan to finesse west for the KH and East twice for the QC.

The Play

With a spade lead win the third round of spades, but with a diamond lead win straight away.Play clubs to the KC, then another club to the JC, lead a low heart up to the AH-QH planning to play the QH, but covering the KH if played by west for a second finesse. Play another 2 rounds of clubs, then the rest of the tricks are the opponents

Comment

Making 8 tricks. Try not making the finesses and see what your score is then You need to make your contract as soon as you can because the opposition have lots of winners they will play as soon as they get the lead

The above commentary is intended as a guideline only. As with any Bridge hand there are many ways to bid and play any hand.
