Bidding

You open 1 club (1C) your longest suit - partner responds 1 heart (1H) - you re-bid 3 No Trumps (3NT) showing 18-19 HCP and a balanced hand - your partner bids 4H. If you have the courage at your re-bid ask for Aces by bidding Blackwood convention's 4NT , partner responds showing the outstanding Ace and you then King ask - partner responds showing 2 Kings you then bid 7H. - A Grand Slam!!!

Acol Bidding

You open 1 club (1C) your longest suit - partner responds 1 heart (1H) - you re-bid 3 No Trumps (3NT) showing 18-19 HCP and a balanced hand your partner bids 4H. If you have the courage at your re-bid ask for Aces by bidding Blackwood convention's 4NT , partner responds 5D showing the outstanding Ace and you then King ask - 5NT partner responds 6S showing 3 Kings you then bid 7H. - A Grand Slam!!!

Plan Before You Play

Just to win every trick but make sure you draw the trump suit as soon as you can as you don't want to give the opposition any ruffs.

The Play

Gain the lead with the first trick and draw trumps (hearts) first - then play all your other winning tricks.

Comment

With all the Kings and Aces you can make 7H. Bidding 7H is another challenge. If you use the Blackwood convention to find your slams. After finding that partner has the outstanding Ace - King asking (5NT) commits you to 7H when partner responds 6S showing 3 kings, if partner had only 1 king they would respond 6H and you would sign off 6NT.

The above commentary is intended as a guideline only. As with any Bridge hand there are many ways to bid and play any hand.
