Plan Before You Play

Draw trumps as soon as possible and try to make all your diamond cards winners. Then you can get rid of losing heat cards in dummy's hand.

The Play

Lose to the QH opening lead. Play KC and then ruff the AC. Play 3 rounds of trumps, play the AD cross to declarer and play KD, QDead out the AS followed by KS and 8S. Play the AD and ruff a low club to end up in your hand. Play the KD and QD then all the rest of the diamonds which are winners making sure you discard the heart in your hand, ruff a low heart and play your winning QC.

Comment

You need 10 tricks to win this contract, and with good declarer play you will make 12 tricks.

The above commentary is intended as a guideline only. As with any Bridge hand there are many ways to bid and play any hand.
